Accoridng to local Iranian media, before departing for New York, Araghchi will have a brief stop in Doha, Qatar where he would potentially consult on the latest regional developments.
The visit by Araghchi comes a few days before President Masoud Pezeshkian travels there to attend the annual UN General Assembly meeting.
